For those of you who may not know, I lost my son Jesse to a drug overdose five years ago. He was only 36 years old, and I watched him battle with addiction for over half of his life. My family and I did everything we could to help him overcome this disease, but as those of you who are familiar with addiction know, it’s never that simple. 

After his death, I founded LADA in order to help support addiction recovery for people all over the country. In the past, we have supported Bethel Colony of Mercy in North Carolina, a place that was dear to Jesse – and the place where he received the most support and effective care. The center supports participants through intensive therapy, counseling, and work placement programs. 

In 2024, we’re expanding to help drug rehabilitation centers in the United States as well as supporting drug addiction prevention programs and initiatives doing the important work of helping people struggling with addiction – and working to prevent this disease from taking hold of the lives of our young people.
